Since I was a small child I have been captivated by the idea of
ghosts. Every year on Halloween I would dress up as Casper and would carry my
Scooby Doo lunch box to school every day. At the age of 9 I received a bad head
injury. At this time I had an NDE (Near Death Experience) which changed my life.
After my NDE, I began having occasional strange paranormal experiences. I saw my
first full body apparition at home when I was 15. I began "looking for ghosts" in
High School. It was 1982 when I discovered that ghosts can be photographed. I
started taking photographs in cemeteries when I was 17 and this was when I got my
first photo of a spirit. I became really driven to capture photos of spirits when
I got my first digital camera in 2003. Due to my numerous paranormal experiences
I feel as if I was invited to hunt ghosts by the ghosts themselves. I believe
that they would not have shown themselves to me if they did not want me to prove
their existence.

I have always believed in the existence of ghosts. As a child, I
would pore through the few books on the paranormal in my local library. I soaked
in all the information I could find with fear and fascination. Now as an adult I
am eager and pleased to be able to take learned skills and use them to prove what
I always known in my heart to be true-that ghosts do exist. Whether you believe
in them or not. |

Growing up and hearing all of the stories from my mom about her
life in the Carpathian Mountains with my Transylvanian grandparents always
fascinated me. She would tell me about the many times her mom would take her
along to see the gypsy fortune teller and how the gypsy predicted WW II. Another
story was when my uncle was deathly ill and he saw my deceased grandparents at
the foot of his bed telling him that he will pull through (which he did.) My mom
also told me the time she was having surgery and actually saw herself having the
surgery from above her body. By the age of 8, I had joined the Paranormal Book of
the Month Club. I read many books by Ghost Hunter/Parapsychologist Hans Holzer,
stories by Edgar Cayce, Psychic Exploration by Edgar Mitchell, Hauntings by Henry
Henry Mazzeo, The Encyclopedia of Ancient and Forbidden Knowledge by Zolar and
many more that have gotten lost throughout the years. Now as an adult, I would
really like to experience and validate the things I have heard, read and always
believed in.

I have had experiences with the supernatural since I was young and
have captured several EVPs in the home I grew up in. I captured my first spirit
on film when I was seven years old. My quest to learn more about the paranormal
has led me to seek out people with the same passion. I hope to collect more
evidence that ghosts exist and to bridge the gap between this life and the

I grew up in a small town called Speonk in Eastern Suffolk County
Long Island, NY. I am a morning show co-host for a local classic rock station
103.9 WRCN. I've always been fascinated with the paranormal and like most people
in this field am very curious about what happens in the afterlife. I had my first
paranormal experience when I was 11 years old. I was walking downstairs to use
the bathroom at my church and saw an older man dressed in a suit walk into the
men's bathroom ahead of me. I waited for a while and when I couldn't hold it
anymore decided to knock on the door to see if he was o.k. When I knocked, the
door opened and there was nobody in there and no way out. Ever since then I've
been more aware of what's normal and what's paranormal and have had many personal
experiences over the years. I joined IGI because they are a credible, hard
working group that has the same goals as me. Find out the truth with hard
evidence.

Growing up I had many paranormal experiences. When my Grandmother
died she visited my son and myself. It opened my eyes to the fact that what I saw
as a child was real. As different family members have passed on, I have had more
experiences with seeing and hearing them. 2 years ago, my Husband's Grandmother
paid us a visit in our bedroom. My Stepfather passed this September and 5 1/2
months later my Mom. Both have been seen "visiting" us. Over a year ago I started
some investigations. During this time I have taken Reiki level one and will be
taking level 2. I have also learned how to use dowsing rods and work with my K2
meter. |

incident included seeing a woman appear suddenly in the middle of the road and
disappear with in seconds...."how do you explain that and why was she

I have been exposed to the metaphysical, paranormal and occult
since a very young age and continue to research the hidden and unexplained on a
daily basis. I lived in a haunted house part time until age 10, and was
consistently brought along to various metaphysical and spiritual events and
places as a youngster. I have definitely experienced the unexplainable, but I'm
still waiting for that absolute undeniable moment of interaction with the other
side. I'm a full time journalist and professional writer who has authored several

After my first paranormal experience, I had to re-evaluate my
views on the afterlife. I was a complete cynic and always viewed things from a
scientific standpoint. I now consider myself an open minded skeptic. Having a
background in audio engineering led me to my fascination with Electronic Voice
Phenomena. For me, investigating has not only become a scientific pursuit but a
"spiritual" one. With additional research and study I hope to find at least a
small piece of the puzzle of what is beyond this life. |
